Speaking

Hi! I’m Morgan Simon, Owner and Founder of Mentally Pretty. I’m obsessed with bringing awareness to issues surrounding mental health. In 2019 I embarked on a entrepreneurial journey centered around making sure women felt pretty internally, just as much as they did externally. Within a few years the brand has evolved and expanded with products such as books, apparel, and now offers women and girls, in underserved communities, the opportunity for free therapy services from licensed therapists.

It is my passion to empower and educate women. I believe that learning positive mental health techniques, as soon as possible, will give women the tools needed to obtain a successful and healthy future. Working as a full time therapist (CTRS) on a behavioral health unit and juggling being an NFL cheerleader, I overcame struggles of my own.  Through those struggles I learned first hand, the importance of balance and how to put mental health practices in my daily routine.

I use my experiences as a way to connect and educated other women. I have been a speaker for schools, mentorship programs, professional cheer and dance organizations, pageant industry workshops, competitive gym groups and more! I’d love to get your organization excited, engaged and inspired with motivational messages! Please fill out the speaker inquiry and our team will get back to you within 48 hours.

More on Morgans background

Born and raised in Louisiana, Morgan Simon is a passionate and driven individual who has been recognized for both her academic and athletic achievements. In the course of her pursuit of finding new ways to give back to the community, she founded the self development organization, Mentally Pretty, with intentions of empowering young women to develop an attractive mental mindset.

After entering Grambling State University on both academic and athletic scholarships, the former student-athlete excelled in all aspects of her college life. Morgan joined Alpha Kappa Alpha society inc. and played an active role in the Sigma Alpha Lambda Honors Organization, and remarkably maintained her position on both the Dean’s and President’s List during each semester for three consecutive years. Morgan obtained a bachelors of science degree is Recreational Therapy before graduating early.

The well-rounded achiever moved to Houston, Texas and became a certified therapeutic recreational specialist on a behavioral unit. She also became a member of the Houston Texans Cheerleaders. As part of a National Football League team, she performed in multiple notable events, such as the Super Bowl 51, First Take, and The Rich Eisen Show. While working on shows and half-time performances were fulfilling, Morgan often struggled to find balance when it came to her mental health. It was then that she realized, scholastic achievements, career success and outward appearance were important but to really be fulfilled in life, it starts with a healthy mental outlook. After doing the work of improving her mental health, Morgan discovered her newfound love for educating people on mental health and contributing to the community through mentorship and charity events. She derived the philosophy that mental health is not something we have, it’s something we practice. She uses this message to speak and bring awareness to the importance of incorporating mental health practices to our daily routines. Morgan has several published books and hosts a podcast on mental health that airs every Sunday and Wednesday.
